The Planning and Construction Achievements of Singapore-Sichuan Hi-Tech Innovation Park in 2015

2015 was a year of breakthroughs for SSCIP. This year, SSCIP welcomes the full operation of Hongxing Road South Extension and South Extension of Metro Line 1 which has two stations just besides SSCIP. Meanwhile, SSCIP is accelerating the construction inside the Park. The 60-hectare new-concept park - “SSCIP Heartbeat” Central Park and large-scale cultural facilities - “Tianfu New Area Cultural Center”, 2 incubation parks - CDHT New Generation IT Incubation Park and Biomedical Innovation Park all started construction this year.

Road Network Construction

The construction of main road network has been commenced in the Park and the “four vertical and four horizontal” road network is taking shape.

Construction of Public Facilities

The planning and construction of public facilities are in progress. Large-scale cultural facilities - “Tianfu New Area Cultural Center” and CDHI New-Generation IT Incubation Park and Biomedical Innovation Park all started construction in this year. The Park plans to build 1 general hospital, 13 kindergartens, 7 primary schools, 2 middle schools and 7 neighborhood centers. Currently, the conceptual designs of 1 middle school and 2 kindergartens have been completed.

Landscape Construction

The landscape projects of SSCIP Heartbeat (West Park), Heying Avenue and Hongxing Road South Extension have undergone construction this year, which are expected to be completed in early 2016.

The Construction of Other Municipal Engineering Projects

·Riverway improvement: the Park is home to four riverways, namely, Xiwayan, Baiyanggou, Shahegou and Pucaogou. The improvement projects of Xiwayan and Baiyanggou are under construction. With a total length of about 5.6 km, these projects are expected to be completed in the first half of 2016.

·Water recycling project in Wetland Park: with a land area of 116,000 m2, the wetland park aims to build a virtuous circle between wetland and city and to act as the green lung to improve air quality. Serving as a platform for education and communication, the urban artificial wetland park is designed to establish a harmonious relationship between mankind and nature. This project has been commenced in July 2015.
