On 8 Jan 2015, SSCIP and Singapore Consulate-General of Chengdu cohosted the 2015 New Year Cocktail Party at Johnnie Walker House Chengdu in Tie Xiang Si Shui Jie. Merck Serono, SNW, NTT, Siemens, Philips, Hong Leong, SC Global and IES were amongst the 22 leading enterprises and organizations which graced this event.
During the party, Singapore Consulate-General, Mr. Pang Te Cheng, warmly welcomed the guests with his opening speech. He expressed that 2015 marked the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Singapore and China, and SSCIP in Chengdu is a classic example of mutually beneficial collaboration between the two countries. On behalf of the Singapore government, he invited all international enterprises and Chengdu companies to utilize SSCIP as platform to take advantage of the respective strengths of Singapore and Chengdu. After the speech, Mr. Peng, Mr. Gan Teng Kiat (the new Singapore Consulate-General of Chengdu), and Mr. Martin Cui Wei (Director and CEO of SSCIP), proposed a toast to the guests, wishing all a joyous new year, beginning with this wonderful evening. During the party, SSCIP had a very fruitful engagement session with the top management of Fortune 500 companies, Singapore and Chengdu local enterprises, thereby improving mutual understanding and future collaboration.
