The Singapore Innovation Center Logo Design Competition awards announced!

On February 28, 2019, the SSCIP Singapore Innovation Center Logo Design Competition was launched and open calls for designs towards all individuals and design agencies. SSCIP Company, together with Chengdu CDHT official WeChat and Tianfu Software Park official WeChat and renowned designer platform - No. 9 Gutian Road, hoped to identify the best logo solution for the Singapore Innovation Center by means of collection. The competition set 3 major awards for 4 designs: the best one would be awarded as “the best design award” with a 30,000 yuan prize, 2 excellent designs would be awarded as “the excellence award” with 5,000 yuan for each, and also 1 “the most popular award”, with a prize of 3,000 yuan. As of March 25, 2019, the design competition was well received with 333 submissions in total. For details, please refer to the SSCIP WeChat article.

Logo Interpretation

“We are a newly established design agency – the Water Stone Brand. The work of Raintree is very poetic. We hope that when you see this logo, you can think of the greenness of Singapore and the future of the Singapore Innovation Center. A lush green foliage of rain trees cover Singapore. Rain tree immediately comes to mind when Singapore’s Garden City is mentioned. It is also what Singaporeans away from home fondly remember. The abstract drawing of the rain tree is similar to the artificial neural network, representing the technological innovations in the Singapore Innovation Centre. In the evening, the leaves of the rain tree fold up, allowing water to gather. In the morning, the leaves open up, allowing water to flow out. Just like the entrepreneurs, they are resilient when faced with adversity, and they put in their best when opportunity comes.
