On 25 Apr, 2015, Singapore-Sichuan Hi-Tech Innovation Park (SSCIP) was invited by Sino-American Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SABPA) to attend the 10th Annual SABPA Biomedical forum in Irvine California.
Vice President of Sembcorp Development and Representative of SSCIP, Mr. Chong Joon Woon, made a presentation entitled “Harnessing Cross-border Synergies, an Opportunity to Leverage the China – Singapore Biomedical Ecosystems” in the conference. He addressed the twinning model of Singapore and Chengdu in biomedical sciences (BMS) powered by the advanced industry development experience of Singapore and strong industry capabilities in Chengdu. He further highlighted SSCIP’s objective of establishing an International Outsourcing Services Hub and unique advantages. His speech received overwhelming positive feedback from the guests. In honor of SSCIP’s support, SSCIP received the certificate of appreciation from SABPA during the event.

During the trip, SSCIP was also invited for meetings with leading international biomedical, medical device and IT enterprises like Oracle, Agilent, NuVaisive and ACCO semiconductor.
This was SSCIP’s first investment promotion trip in the US this year and also the fourth US trip so far. Through collaborations with various organizations and professional multipliers, SSCIP not only obtained first-hand industry development trends, but also uncovered exciting investment opportunities.
