The very first SSCIP Shanghai Investment Promotion Conference on 7 Mar 2014 attracted big guns like Siemens, Intel and Texas Instruments, over 120 guests from 70 international companies participated.
“SSCIP is not only the number one Hi-Tech project in Chengdu, but also the driving force behind the transformation of the whole of Sichuan,” expressed Mr. Yuan Zongyong, Deputy Director of CDHT Management Committee. He commented that, propelling Chengdu to be the top economic centre in Western China, SSCIP represented the growing relationship and cooperation between China and Singapore.

According to him, SSCIP has the best location among all the 11 industrial parks around the world under Sembcorp. It is positioned to be a premier Hi-Tech park. On the topic of biomedicine industry, Mr. Chong said Sichuan have an excellent R&D foundation, the most advanced preclinical and clinical organizations, rich animal testing resources and a huge number of topnotch CRO enterprises. Being a bilateral platform demonstrating Singapore and China’s collaboration, SSCIP will unearth more of Sichuan’s biomedical resources to attract leading MNCs. Together, an international innovative and influential biomedical R&D platform can be established.
