On 25 Oct 2014, Singapore-Sichuan Hi-Tech Innovation Park (SSCIP) was invited by the Chinese-American Biomedical Association (CABA) to attend the 2014 CABA Biomedical Investment & Entrepreneurship Symposium in Boston.
Vice President of Sembcorp Development and Representative of SSCIP, Mr. Chong Joon Woon, made a presentation in the conference entitled “The Increasing Role of Innovation Parks in Biomedical Industry Development”. He addressed the advanced industry development experience of Singapore and strong industry capabilities in Chengdu, and further highlighted SSCIP’s unique advantages. His speech received overwhelming positive feedback from the guests.

During the trip, SSCIP was also invited for meetings with leading international biomedical and medical device enterprises like Novartis, Celgene, Sanofi, Medtronic and Allergan.
This was SSCIP’s third investment promotion trip in the US this year. Through collaborations with various organizations, SSCIP not only obtained first-hand industry development trends, but also uncovered exciting investment opportunities.
