Singapore-Sichuan Hi-Tech Innovation Park (SSCIP) conducted its 2nd investment promotion trip to the United States, from 9 – 18 September 2014.
On 13 September, SSCIP attended Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SAPA)’s 22nd Annual Conference at Princeton University, the theme being “Shaping the Medicine of Tomorrow”. Vice President of Sembcorp Development and Representative of SSCIP, Mr. Chong Joon Woon, gave a speech during the annual dinner entitled “Harnessing the Biomedical Potential in West China”, presenting the Park’s competitive edge and Chengdu’s attractive biomedical resources. SSCIP was granted the “SAPA Corporate Excellence Award” in recognition of the outstanding contribution to SAPA.

During the trip, SSCIP was invited to meet 11 influential companies and organizations, including mega pharmaceutical enterprises like Bristol-Meyer Squibb, Sanofi, Novartis, and leading CROs like Fountain Medical and Frontage.
SSCIP not only obtained first-hand information regarding the biomedical industry’s developmental trends, but uncovered numerous investment opportunities.
